Strut Tower Braces!
Greddy strut tower braces which are actually designed for the Nissan 240 SX (price: $98 plus shipping) may fit. Mark Sutyak offered to act as a "guinea pig" and use them on his Shadow, and these are the results:
Greets all you EEKers! Today I recieved my Greddy 240sx strut tower brace. According to Rick, the 400hp Daytona guy, it would fit my Shadow. Well, he was right. The brace is adjustable in legth, but the brackets need 3 new holes drilled to fit the bolt pattern. It's not the most beautiful installation because I ended up slightly bending both brackets when I torqued down the nuts. Other than that and a couple hours installation time (I'm slow) it turned out great.
After some nice curvy WV driving I came to the conclusion that my steering has tightened up along with my cornering ability.
Note: if you do use a strut tower brace, we suggest you also stiffen up the rear end with an Addco sway bar (unless you use one on a CSX).
Addco Sway Bars

$156 |
| Rear, 357, 7/8" | $149 |
A relatively easy bolt-on solution to increasing handling. As you may know, these cars had easily replaced sway bars in front but in the rear they are part of the axle. Addco sway bars can beef up both ends so that you don't create a dangerous handling situation by only increasing the front sway bar thickness.
A strong sway bar helps handling by increasing the stiffness of the vehicle (not unlike the aforementioned strut tower brace).
Magnecor KV85 Competition Ignition Wires
| Years | Engines | Part | Price |
| 1981-90 | 2.2 / 2.5 | 4539 | $44 |
| 1991-95 | 2.2 / 2.5 | 45153 | $42 |
| 1990-96 | 3.0 V6 | 6514 | $59 |
One of the "standard" upgrades for many vehicles is Magencore wires. They offer good quality at a relatively low price. They may not provide higher performance, but they may just remove a barrier to performance - and at a very nice price.

DynoMax Super Turbo Exhaust
Engines are often called big air pumps; you need to reduce the air restrictions both going in and coming out. Hence, higher-flow exhausts and K&N air filters can act together to increase high-rpm power. Visit the Dynomax web site for more information on their street systems. Most Mopar setups cost about $100!
The Super Turbo systems include the muffler of choice for EEK! models - they are only a little louder than the stock exhaust, yet they flow better and have what many people say are a better sound than stock systems.
For the Sundance/Shadow, all years, 2.2 and 2.5 liter engines, the Super Turbo Street System is about $82 - stock number 17488.
